ABOUT US

You may have seen us out at the park in Medina, or heard about us from a friend, and wondered what we are doing. Our group calls it self  Rausumea (pronounced raw-sue-may), what we are doing is we are using foam representations of swords, axes, maces, javelins, flails, rocks, arrows, & shields to participating in a Medieval Marshal Arts combat sport.

For information regarding attending practices or information about joining please go to our Practices pages. Our Group is a leading chapter of a National network of Medieval Marshal Arts sports clubs called the Belegarth Medieval Combat Society. We adhere to their rules for safety when performing medieval combat.

Participants do not need to wear armor to be able to fight safely and we allow anyone 15 and older to participate in combat. Belegarth Rules allow safe, fast in your face, combat that is both invigorating and fun.
